What Is Super Cruise & Does It Effect My Z-Flash?

Certain Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 models, as well as select Cadillac Escalade models feature Super Cruise. You can tell if Super Cruise is featured on your truck by looking at the top of the Steering Wheel to see if you have an LED Screen.

Why Do I Need To Know If My GM Vehicle Has Super Cruise?

For vehicles equipped with Super Cruise that will be using our Z-Flash LCM 2500 for GM, you must ensure that the resistor on the purple harness is disconnected, as shown in the image below.

The resistor often comes connected already so before you install the Z-Flash LCM 2500 on your vehicle equipped with Super Cruise. You'll need to disconnect it.

If codes come up this will have no impact on your vehicle. It will be false errors/codes. The Super Cruise vehicles need to disconnect the resistor if they see any codes come up.
