LCM 2500 for GM - Lights That Will Flash
Here is a list of lights that the Z-Flash LCM 2500 for GM can flash on your vehicle:
High Beam Headlights
Low Beam Headlights
Turn Signals
DRLs
Reverse Lights
Brake Lights
Cargo Lights
Tail Lights
License Plate Lights
Center Mount High Stop Light
Fog Lights
Please Note that this is a general overview of the lights it can flash. Some of the EV vehicles could have some differences such as the Hummer EVs.
Reverse Lights
If your Reverse Lights are not flashing please make sure to turn DIP Switch #3 to the ON position. We provide the option to disable these from flashing as we understand some users may need to disable the white lights from flashing.
Red Lights
While the Z-Flash does flash all the red lights on the rear, we offer the option to disable those. If you cannot flash any Red Lights in your area, you'll have to use Pattern 5 on the unit.
To change the pattern simply hold the button down for 1 second while the Z-Flash is on. This will change the pattern and your dash will flash the x amount of times depending on what number pattern you are on.
DRLS
The Day Time Running Lights (DRLs) are tricky on some vehicles. These are sometimes not able to flash and not guaranteed. On most vehicles they will flash, but if they do not it could be related to the vehicle's trim level as well.
Mirror Lights + Clearance Lights
A common question we get with the Z-Flash LCM 2500 for GM is if this will make the Mirror Lights and/or Clearance Lights flash.
These are not guaranteed to flash because the Clearance Lights/Cab Lights and Mirror Lights on the GM trucks are not on the same lighting data that we are connected to when installing the Z-Flash.
Generally if your Mirror Lights also do the Turn Signal function they should flash. Even then it is not guaranteed to flash.
