J7 Plug Does Not Align?
Vehicles that use the Z-Flash BCM for Ford have more plugs featured on its BCM than some others. A common question is that the J7 Harness does not plug in correctly.
Just to note - the plugs can only go in one way. If it's not fitting double check the instructions.
A common point of confusion is that the J7 plug may appear not to fit. In most cases, this is because there is a very similar-looking connector located on the bottom of the BCM, which is often mistaken for the correct J7 connection point.
Where The J7 Z-Flash Plug Goes (Passenger Side)
The J7 Plug is the smallest of the two you receive with the Z-Flash.
It will plug in on the Top Row above the fuses on the right hand side. Below is an image of where both plugs go:
Initially when looking at the BCM in your F-Series Truck or even the Ford Expedition, you don't see that Top Row because the way Ford has it set, it's hidden.
Where The J7 Z-Flash Plug Goes (Driver Side)
If you have a Ford Explorer or Ford Bronco or any other vehicle that works with the Z-Flash BCM for Ford, but it installs on the Driver Side it will be the same install.
However, the BCM is flipped upside down so it should look like this:
