FAQ - Z-Flash BCM for Ford

1. Can the Z-Flash BCM for Ford be customized?

A: No. Unfortunately, the Z-Flash BCM for Ford does not have the ability to be customized.

2. Will this Z-Flash make the Clearance Lights flash?

A: It is not guaranteed that the Clearance Lights will flash.

3. How many patterns are featured?

A: The Z-Flash BCM for Ford features 9 pre-set patterns.

4. Is the Z-Flash DOT or NHTSA approved?

A: No, the Z-Flash is not DOT or NHTSA approved.

5. Why is the Z-Flash Harness Plug not fitting?

A: Please verify you ordered the correct unit. Next, please make sure that you are placing the J7 Plug above the fuses. The plugs will fit in only one direction. If it’s still not fitting, please contact support.

6. Can I use this with a Plow attached to my truck?

A: Yes. There is a plow mode wire that comes with the Z-Flash that will prevent the Plow Lights from flashing.

7. Can I use the Z-Flash to control external lights?

A: Yes, you can use the optional Output Wires that come with the provided button. However, please note that these Outputs are 100mA MAX so you might need to use a Relay.

8. Why aren’t the front lights flashing on my Ford F-150 Lightning?

A: For the Ford F-150 Lightnings, Pattern 8 & 9 are specifically designed for the F-150 Lightning trucks.

9. Does the Z-Flash remember the last pattern it was on?

A: Yes, the Z-Flash has a memory of the last pattern you were last using when you turn it On/Off.

10. Does my truck need to have LEDs for the Z-Flash to work?

A: The Z-Flash can work with both Halogens and LEDs. However, for the most effective performance, LEDs are the way to go.
