Truck not starting?
If you are installing the Z-Flash LCM 2500 for GM into your truck and it's not starting you will have to check the following.
Verify you are going to the correct plug. The violet plug as mentioned in the instructions is the second one in from the light blue plug on the LCM.
Check The Pins On Purple Harness
If your vehicle does not start while the Z-Flash is connected, the most common cause is a bent pin on the Z-Flash harness.
Carefully inspect all of the harness pins for any signs of damage or misalignment. Even a pin that is only slightly bent can prevent proper communication and may cause the vehicle not to start. If you find a bent pin, that is likely the source of the issue.
How Does A Pin Get Bent?
There could be a couple of reasons why a pin on your Z-Flash LCM 2500 harness gets bent.
- Trying to force the wrong plug into our harness
This is something common as the violet plug could get mistaken for the magenta/pink plug on the LCM. Please review the instructions of where the factory Violet/Purple plug is located on the LCM.
- Putting too much force of the violet plug into our harness.
This could also cause the pins on the Z-Flash harness to slightly bend which may impact the Z-Flash from working.
