Frequently Asked Questions for the Z-Flash BCM 2300 for Ford
1. Can this Z-Flash be programmed to make custom flash patterns?
A: The Z-Flash BCM 2300 for Ford features 8 pre-set patterns. It does not feature custom software.
2. Is it guaranteed that my Reverse Lights will flash?
A: Reverse Lights flashing may not be available for all vehicles and trims
3. Why does the plug not fit into the BCM?
A: Our Z-Flash BCM 2300 harness is designed to plug in upside down. The wires will be facing up when you install it.
4. Is it required to use the Ground Wire?
A: Yes, the Ground Wire that is connected to the Z-Flash harness is required to be grounded.
5. Can I use the Z-Flash to control external lights?
A: Yes, you can use the optional Output Wires that come with the provided button. However, please note that these Outputs are 100mA MAX so you might need to use a Relay.
6. Can I use this with a Plow attached to my truck?
A: Yes. There is a plow mode wire that comes with the Z-Flash that will prevent the Plow Lights from flashing.
7. How many Flash Patterns are featured?
A: The Z-Flash BCM 2300 for Ford features 8 Flash Patterns
8. Does the Z-Flash remember the last pattern it was on?
A: Yes, the Z-Flash has a memory of the last pattern you were last using when you turn it On/Off.
9. Does my truck need to have LEDs for the Z-Flash to work?
A: The Z-Flash can work with both Halogens and LEDs. However, for the most effective performance, LEDs are the way to go.
10. Can my Low & High Beams flash together?
A: For any of the Ford vehicles we support, we may not be able to flash both together. You may have to choose which ones you prefer and then disable the other.
You can also try to put DIP Switch #4 ON and put on Pattern #6.
