Bypass Module Install (Passenger Side)

This guide is for the following vehicles:



2018-2026 Dodge Durango

2018-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee



Locate Security Gateway Module


  1. The Security Gateway Module is located behind the glove box on the passenger side, mounted toward the center of the vehicle.

  1. Remove the push pins securing the passenger-side carpet silencer panel to gain access.


Bypass Module Installation


  • Remove the two plugs in the Security Gateway Module and plug them into the Z-Flash Bypass Module

Tip: You can remove the 3 screws and remove the entire Security Module, or reach your hand behind and remove the plugs from the module


Z-Flash Installation


  1. Now take the Z-Flash OBD and connect it to the vehicle’s OBD-II Port under the dash on the driver’s side
  2. Start the vehicle
  3. Let the module boot for 5 seconds
  4. Either pull back on the high beam lever for 5 seconds to activate, or you can use the button it comes with, plug into the side of the Z-Flash OBD
