FAQ – Z-Flash OBD for Dodge/Jeep/RAM


1. Can the Z-Flash OBD for Dodge/Jeep/RAM be customized?

A: Yes. This Z-Flash is programmable via the Z-Flash software. It will work with WINDOWS COMPUTERS ONLY.

3. Does this Z-Flash already have pre-set patterns?

A: Yes! Customization is only optional. The Z-Flash OBD for Dodge/Jeep/RAM has patterns ready to go from the moment you get it!


4. Does the Z-Flash remember the last pattern it was on?

A: Yes, the Z-Flash has a memory of the last pattern you were last using when you turn it On/Off.


5. Can I hardwire the Z-Flash to my upfitter switches?

A: Yes. You can hardwire the Z-Flash OBD for Dodge/Jeep/RAM by using either of the Blue or Yellow wires. First, make sure to set the HV Triggers in the Z-Flash Software.


6. Can you make me a custom flash pattern?

A: Unfortunately, we are not able to make a custom flash pattern.


7. Does my truck need to have LEDs for the Z-Flash to work?

A: The Z-Flash can work with both Halogens and LEDs. However, for the most effective performance, LEDs are the way to go


8. Is this Z-Flash truly plug and play?

A: Yes! Our Z-Flash for Chrysler vehicles is a complete plug and play system. Newer vehicles may need the Bypass Module or T-Harness which are still plug and play. No hardwiring required!


9. How do I know if I need a T-Harness Bypass or Bypass Module?

A: Make sure to select the correct Vehicle Model and Year Range on our listing. You will receive all necessary parts for installation. For example, if you have a 2018-2024 RAM 2500 - 5500, you will need to use the T-Harness Bypass.


10. Will this work on a 2025, 2026, or 2027 Dodge RAM?

A: No. This Z-Flash module will only work up to the 2024 RAMs. We are currently developing a unit for the newer RAMs.


11. Can I increase the speed of the Flash pattern?

A: Yes! If you push the high beam stalk forward and lift up (like you are turning right) this will increase the speed. If you do it 2 more times it will go to max speed.


12. Where is the Security Gateway Module on the Dodge Durango?

A: The Security Gateway Module on the Dodge Durangos that need to use the Z-Flash Bypass Module is located on the Passenger side 


  1. Can this Z-Flash also flash my Trailer?

A: No, unfortunately the Z-Flash for Chrysler vehicles cannot flash any trailer's connected to your truck.
